LIR for Aquarius Moon - Dagaz (off the mat)

If you're like me, you're feeling a little frantic right about now. You have all these plans and desires and needs; and you're not sure how and where and when; and every time you look up from your work you feel driven and rushed and completely ineffective.

And that's what Dagaz is here to talk about.

Dagaz is the rune of doorways, of time, of finishing one story before beginning another.
Dagaz' position off the mat means that the drive we're feeling, the rushing of time, is as much about the fear or hope of time's passing as it about time actually passing.

And if we're aware of that undercurrent, we can stop the inner panic.

Because Dagaz is not about letting time bully us. Time does pass, it's true. It's a fact of life. Look, there it goes.

But look at what we have done as that time has passed. We have breathed. We have chosen. We have experienced. We have grown. We have learned.

In fact, let us take some precious moments to really look at all we have done. Let us pause in our frantic rush to appreciate what we have accomplished. To acknowledge what was never done. To look at our lives, and our hopes, and our fears, and say, Okay. This is where I am today.

Because as we look at what we have done, and what we wish to do, we celebrate ourselves. We give past selves their proper due. And we see clearly the foundation on which we are going to build our future choices.

Dagaz - Understanding that the tick tock of the world clock is ringing in the back of your head, give yourself space and time to view your story. Then it will be time to step through the next door - unrushed, unhurried, and untrammeled by the celebrated past.

I hope you have a great month!

Are your foundations, your basic truths, solid? Or do they still need tweaking? Did something work better in the past?

***************************************************************

All right - humorous - I did this reading in the car, on the road, (not driving!), while waiting for an appointment to start. That was something I did in the past.

This week (this month) I do seem to be practicing how to be flexible... though now that I think about it, I've never been a master at having a definitive, consistent, schedule. I like change. In certain areas *wry grin*.

So, is the foundation solid? what would the foundation be, for my work? Maybe that's what I'm testing by all this changing.

I do like having a plan. A basic plan. I like being prepared, even if it's to say to myself "I have no idea what's going to happen, so there's nothing else I can do to prepare."

A solid foundation, for me, allows me to let go of the specifics. There's room for change, for differences. And there are probably things in the past (like the rune readings on the road) which will slide easily back into play.

This should be interesting.

I hope you have a great day!

LIR 33115 - Taiwaz

Why is the situation what it is (or not) today? Because of a choice consciously made in the past.
Remember, there is no good or bad. No mistakes. Simply choice and consequence. And choice again.

And since we're all choosing with our truths, this is most likely a happy situation.

****************************************************************************************

"Let's do the time warp again!"

Okay. So, yesterday felt more like practice in nurturing. And I wonder if this rune may be for today (it was read for yesterday) - except having to do with decision made now for the future! Rahr. Whatever.

So, for me, yesterday was a day of caretaking, hence the lack of posting and or reading for today. But today (at least the last few hours) have brought up questions regarding making decisions, and the affect on our future.

We are, each and every one of us, where we are because of decisions made. I met someone tonite who inspired the thought "That's something I could have done."

If I'd chosen a different major.
If I'd chosen a different school.
If I'd chosen (at any of one hundred times it crossed my mind) to focus more on the study and less on the performing of music.
If I'd chosen...
If I'd...
If...

And the important thing about Taiwaz, about choices, and about life itself, is there is no one right choice. Sometimes it's good to know why the situation is as it is... what choices led to here - especially if you wish to change where here is. But except for practicing purposes, there is no real need to analyze.

A choice made in the past is done. The end. The important moment is now.
A choice made now is just practice. Yes, it's life altering. Every choice is.

And the truth of the matter is, if I really want to do that thing I chose not to do earlier, well, I'm still alive. I can still go do it! (And yeah, I still choose performing. *G*.)

So, let us relish our choices. If we find ourselves sitting up at night berating ourselves, let us turn that pity party into a celebration. We chose. And chose. and Chose again! Yay us!

I heard a line on a tv show "the Walking Dead" - (and no, I don't watch it. I just occasionally hear it.) I'm going to misquote it, I think, but it went something like "It was always going to end like this." Frankly, that is a crock of shards.

But, it is always going to be the way it was. Every choice we've made brought us to this situation. So, let's look forward. Because there is still an eternity waiting to be created.

I hope you have a great day!

LIR 62314 - Isa

Today is a good day to isolate yourself a little, to stand apart, to shield from other people, outside influences, habits of the past.

*****************************************************************

I don't know if I did shield from others, or if today was simply a day of solitude.  Even at my retail job, I spent a lot of time alone.  So that was interesting.  Because before I went out to my retail job, I said "I'm kind of glad I have to go in tonite.  It'll get me away from the computer."  I also meant, pull me out of myself for a little.  But that didn't really happen.

But I did use the part about shielding from the past to good purpose today.  I coddled myself a small bit when needed today, and then went back to work.  And, at the end of this day, I feel happy.  Accomplished.  Hopeful for tomorrow.

Yay me!

Add on - the problem with writing up my posts at the end of the day is then I think the reading is no longer relevant.  So, last night, feeling happy and accomplished, I fell right back into old patterns.

However, back on the happy side again, I am not going to follow up my downfall with self-loathing and recriminations.  Instead, i am going to remember why I dislike that pattern and help myself next time.  So, again, yay me!  *G*

It may feel like nothing’s taking root today. It may even feel impossible, or worse, improbable. But only you decide your reality. So even if it feels uphill all the way, when you give energy to the goal, you are succeeding.
I hope you have a great day!

111413 - UrazR

Foundations are a little shaky today; confirm your common ground (language, house, balance) before stepping into new territories.

***********

I expected this to be about communication today, and, picturing all the scenarios where communication would be important, I planned to be calm and ask questions, not assume things.

But then I was sidetracked by my personal reading.  It was OthiloR, which I read, originally as, the past cannot help you.  Then I was frustrated with myself, because if I were reading for anyone else, I would put a more positive view upon it.  So, I did that for myself...

BUT, it's very possible the first version was the right one, because...

Yesterday, I did my nails with an instant grip base coat, a beautiful copper color, and then an instant dry top coat.

Today, I did a quick tip coloring of teal.  And I always use the instant dry top coat because I do the nails before I do the rune readings.

Except I had switched the placement of the bottles, and instead of the instant dry, I blithely put Instant grip on my nails.  Then wondered what the heck was happening, when I plunged my hand into the bowl of new runes and came out with smears and crinkles.  Sadness!

So, one could truly say yesterday's act did not help me today!

I hope you have a great day.
