LIR 42214 - Laguz

You know how we've been practicing patience?  Well, today is a good day to practice calm as the things we've been waiting for start rushing in.

Excitement can be as frantic as fear, so BREATHE.  And remember your truth.

Here we go!

Oh boy.  Well, I can't say I did terribly, but I surely did try to get caught up in the frantic-ness of yesterday.  It started with caffeine.

I don't usually drink a lot of caffeine... I know it can keep my mind racing far into the night.  But, since I had a late shift at the retail store, I thought I'd add some caffeine to my day.

Soon after the rune reading, yesterday, I received a phone call to begin a new adventure... voice lessons.  It's been a long time since I've had formal teaching, and I can tell you I felt giddy and freaked out.  Just over a phone call!   This is definitely going to be a good way to practice my truth and calm.

Then I spent some time doing online research, as we're thinking about changing vehicles.  Another big sweeping change, that brings a lot of emotional baggage with it, if I let it.  Much practice in acceptance.

An hour before my shift finds me jittery and freaking out.  What's the big deal?  Is there going to be a huge event at the store?  Am I going to be fired?  Promoted?  Am I going to find a dream vehicle in the parking lot?  Am I nervous about the lessons?

Nope, I'm reacting to caffeine.  The blessed chemicals are working with my body to keep me awake and alert.  Yikes!

Happily, just the knowledge allowed me to be a little calmer and step back from a panic attack.

The shift itself could have turned into a hot mess if I hadn't already been practicing breathing.  A previous Lila, one hour into shift, would have said, "oh, it's going to be one of THOSE days."  I, instead, said, "no it's not.  That won't make me happy."  Deep breath.  And move on.  I'll admit it wasn't always smooth, since it gets busy enough in retail you don't have time to consciously think about breathing.  But, when it slows down and there is time to think, the automatic "Oh crap, what did I do?"  turned into "Okay dokey, next time we'll do better."

So, all in all, I think the Laguz rush is off to a good start.  And I expect it to only get better.

Choices may be made in your favor today.

Remember, you have the final say in what you accept.

I hope you have a great day!
